Owl Birthday Card

So today dug into my stash and put together a fun Birthday card to add to my ETSYshoppe.  I came across these cute owl buttons in my local craft store and had to do something with them. This card was TRULY handmade, as I didn't have a lot of purchased embellishments so I created my own.  I snipped off the back of the buttons and glued them down.

Using kraft cardstock I handcut a window in the card.  Then I handcut a frame using decorative scissors (I didn't  have a scallop square diecut).

I handcut the clouds and sun out of patterned paper and inked the edges. I DID have a diecut quote  box, but I hand drew the lines around it.

Then, added some die cut and handwritten letters, paper and bakers' twine and I was finished. This was a lot of work, but I'm happy with the results.

Be encouraged.  If you don't have all the latest and greatest supplies and embellishments, make your own and be happy with that.

Until next time. :)
