Blessed Opportunities

I volunteer at the Army Community Services here at the Army Post where we reside.  It has been a great expericence. I create and edit the newsletter, and I also teach Army Family Team Building classes to new spouses. I teach many topics, anything from Expectations of Military Life to Understanding Army Benefits and Entitlements to Leadership Skills. I've met a lot of great people and feel like I am giving something back to the Military community.  Because I have been an Army spouse for 25 years, I feel I have a lot experience to share, and I love that.

I am really excited because now I can join my Army experience with the love of crafting.  I have been asked by the ACS to teach craft classes to our Military families.  I am honored and a bit apprehensive. Although I have been scrapbooking and cardmaking for many years, and know tons of techniques, I have NEVER taught a class! So I have to figure out a project and order and prepare supplies.  I am excited about this challenge as it may give me the opportunity to meet new people.  I will also go to local merchants and ask for donations.  I want to create blank cards that Soldiers can send home to loved ones for special occasions, i.e. Birthday, Anniversary, Valentines, Christmas, etc.  I will start with Christmas.  If you are a praying person, please pray for God's direction in this, that it will be a blessing to those involved.

Here are a couple of birthday cards I have recently added to my ETSY shoppe.

Birthday Card w/Ribbon Banner
Birthday Card with Pom-Pom Trim
Peace.
